Bagua Dao

The Bagua Dao is a curved Chinese saber used in Bagua Zhang, an internal martial art. Its handling requires fluid, circular movements reflecting the principles of the Bagua (eight trigrams) and the art's focus on continuous motion and balance. The massive Santösh Bagua Dao has a realistic weight, balance and shape compared to the real solid metal weapon and is suitable for both form training AND contact drilling and sparring.

  • Hickory is the most popular and versatile wood for contact training.

  • Hickory, Ash and Red Oak are included, other woods are in extra, you can ask for a free quote or some advices to the craftsman

  • Note that Hickory and Ash have irregular and unpredictable color patterns​​

  • Black painted and varnished : + 20 CAD

  • Suede cord wrapped, traditional chinese braid : + 85 CAD (the Bagua Dao handle is very long)​
