The Dadao (大刀) is a traditional Chinese weapon with a single-edged, broad blade. Known for its power and versatility, the Dadao was historically used by both infantry and military officers, particularly in the late Qing Dynasty and early Republican era. Its design allowed for heavy, cleaving strikes, and it was often used in close combat, ideal for cutting through armor or multiple opponents. The dadao gained fame during the Chinese civil wars, where it was a symbol of resistance and fighting spirit.
