Shuangshou Jian

The Shuangshou Jian (双手剑) is a two-handed Chinese sword, typically larger and heavier than the standard single-handed jian. It requires both hands to wield effectively, offering greater power and reach. Used in traditional Chinese martial arts, the Shuangshou Jian is valued for its ability to deliver strong, sweeping strikes while maintaining precision and control.

Custom Options

1) Weight 

​​Choose a weight or a weight range for you Jian. If you choose a precise weight, the final weight of your Jian can vary up to 40g above or under the choosen weight.

​(example: 950g, or 910 to 990g)

  • Light weight : 600 to 724 grams

  • Light-Middle weight : 725g to 874g

  • Middle weight : 875g to 999g

  • Full weight : 1kg to 1.3 g​​​​​

2)Wood

  • Hickory is the most popular and versatile wood choice.

  • Hickory and Ash have irregular and unpredictable light to semi-light color patterns.​​

3) Length

  • Standard length : 36in blade, 11.5in grip 

  • Custom length : Choose the Blade and Grip length​

Note : The blade length is measured from the grip side of the guard and the grip length does not include the pommel.​

4) Blade

  • Full-Contact Sparring Blade : Rounded edges and tip for heavy drilling and sparring.

  • Technical-Contact Drilling Blade : Semi-rounded edges and tip, can withstand intensive drilling and applications but is unsafe for full heavy sparring.

Guard 1 and 2 : Included

Guard 3, 4 and 7 : + 10 CAD

Guard 5 and 6 : + 20 CAD

6) Pommel
