Weight Information
Light weight : You prefer a lighter weight for your form training and moderate contact applications (most popular with people practicing mainly forms and some light contact drills and applications)
Light-Middle weight : You prefer a weight closer to a real forged metal weapon but still prefer a relatively lighter weight (most popular with people practicing roughly half and half forms and light to moderate contact drills and applications. Ideal for an introduction to contact training and sparring)
Middle weight : You prefer a realistic weight very close to a forged metal weapon, you do intensive training and sparring but you still want a weapon not too heavy that will allow you to maintain speed and endurance after long hours of training and/or sparring. (Most popular with well trained practitioners and full-contact combat competitors.)
Full weight : You want to feel the full weight of a forged metal weapon in you forms, applications and conditioning but you are aware that you won't be able to train over long hours in a row or keep a good speed over an entire full-contact tournament.
